  • Lead and manage the nursing staff within the PACU, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the PACU, ensuring efficient resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Ensure optimal patient care delivery by monitoring recovery progress, addressing complications, and ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and support recovery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards relevant to postoperative recovery care.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a PACU or perioperative setting and 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing (CAPA) or equivalent preferred.
