WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Registered, Registry Eligible, or Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid Driver's License
- Complete patient documentation in initiation of respiratory therapy procedures: therapeutic modality, oxygen administration and ventilator care including patient assessment and plan of care
- Coordinating emergency services
- Caregiver education and orientation
- Complete proper patient documentation on follow-up visitation(s)
- Conduct follow-up visits on patients utilizing respiratory care modalities including ventilators
- Maintain and open line of communication with the patient, caregivers, and employees/
- Assist in the coordination of in-store phone calls concerning respiratory care
- Conduct follow-up visits on patients utilizing respiratory care (i.e., oxygen concentrators, etc.)
- Ongoing phone calls to patients utilizing H-tanks/liquid oxygen to ensure supplies are adequate
- Assist in proper filling of customer orders, as requested
- Assume on-call responsibility to assure after normal business hours coverage for departmental services
- Verification of insurance coverage and coordinate financial responsibility with the patient
- Establish and coordinate all aspects if services including physician’s orders
- Assist in the development/revision of educational material for patient and/or caregiver instruction
- Participate with in-service education programs/seminars and present internally/externally
- Assume responsibility for self-education through seminars, in-services, classes, and educational media
