We are looking for a Regional Account Manager who will be responsible for building relationships and driving sales with potential customers in person.

In this role, you will:

  • Prospect and conduct lead generation activities.
    • Identify and research potential clients in the assigned territory including cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing contacts.
  • Build and Maintain relationships:
    • Develop strong relationships with clients and understand their business needs.
    • Conduct face-to-face meetings with customers to understand their needs.
    • Articulate the features, benefits, and value proposition of the products or services the company offers.
  • Negotiate sales deals consisting of securing commitments, pricing, contracts, purchase orders, and discounts all based on specific customization needed.
  • Travel is required to meet in person with customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as marketing, customer success, operations, and product development, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction and product/service improvement.
  • Inform sales strategy and forecasting with regular customer feedback.
  • Serve as an expert in our product line (map, precision picking attachment, autonomous picker).
  • Build strong working relationships with industry leaders on behalf of TerraClear.
What we're looking for:
  • Qualifications and Experience:
    • 5+ years demonstrated sales success in agriculture with a proven record of exceeding sales targets
    • 5+ years of agriculture industry experience, with a strong understanding of local territories and a network of contacts in the growers and dealer communities
    • Demonstrated success in selling agricultural products
    • Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
    • Commitment to thorough documentation and communication within TerraClear systems (primarily Smartsheet, HubSpot, Google Docs)
    • Independent self-starter with the ability to generate and maintain high levels of activity focused on growing customer base and revenue
    • Commitment to TerraClear core values: Uncompromising integrity, Farmer engagement, Team first, Humility, Ownership, Communication
    • Ability to travel up to 2-3 week/month, as necessary to exceed sales targets

    • Established network in agricultural industry
    • Deep knowledge of farming
    • Familiarity and comfort discussing technology (AI, software, automation)
TerraClears' base salary pay range:
  • $75-90k USD, plus commission
