J.M. Canty is a Process Engineering company with facilities in Lockport, NY and Dublin, Ireland. The company specializes in the manufacture of process lighting, sight glasses, vision-based process control systems, and particles sizing systems for a variety of industries including the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Glass, Food and Mining Industries.

Responsibilities and Duties will be primarily focused on, but is not limited to;

Technical Support for Canty products.

Product demonstrations and product training for customers and representatives.

Collaborate with design department on the design of custom units.

Drafting of proposals on how to utilize Canty vision-based technology for specific projects

Sales Support to a network of sales representatives

Phone/email sales support for sales representatives.

Generate quotations for customers/representatives.

As the successful candidate develops in the role, additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to ;

Travel to meet potential customers, attend conferences and trade shows, and also to perform commissioning of vision based process instrumentation systems.

Involvement on R&D projects for new product applications as required

The Candidate;

Essential: Educated to degree level in a relevant science or engineering related discipline e.g. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Systems, Physics. Desirable: Relevant experience within an engineering environment. Knowledge of the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas industries. The Person:

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to deliver technical information into terms and concepts which end users can readily grasp.

Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

Team player.

Able to proactively identify and resolve problems.
