Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the organization and quality of the general maintenance of the operational fleet and equipment. Ensuring company practices and procedures are followed.

Duties

Delegate tasks to the mechanic, electrician and welding teams.
Work with inventory on proper spare component stocking and utilization.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the shop or on field location.
Assist in asset labeling and inventory controls.
Communicate with field staff to plan efficient and proper repairs.
Mentor all staff and encourage career growth.
Communicate with operations/safety team and determine priority of equipment repairs.
Ensure facility operates within company policy standards.
Ensure all shop related equipment, preventative maintenance and certifications are upheld.
Enforces and provides safe work practices and PPE requirements for shop employees.
Develop preventative maintenance programs.
Ensure work orders are completed by all maintenance staff members with required information.
Creates contingency plans for unexpected equipment failure.
Create department annual goals and works with staff to achieve.
Works with operations/safety team on equipment alterations and improvement concepts.

Position Details

FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Status: Full-time
Amount of Travel Required: 25%
Reports to: Fleet Director
Direct Reports: All Maintenance team staff (Service Techs, Electricians, Welders, Mechanics).
Work Schedule: Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of industry hours may be long and irregular

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Experience: 10+ years fabrication/mechanical maintenance. 10+ years oilfield/heavy equipment shop and field maintenance.
Other Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license, meet minimum driving requirements for company insurance purposes and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
