Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, the position is responsible for examining repairs conducted on equipment and determine if the repairs are warrantable.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review repairs completed on J.B. Hunt owned equipment
  • Inventory retained parts and ship to designated manufacturers when needed
  • Audit part retentionthrough queries and databases
  • Monitor parts replaced and determine disposition; (ie.scrap or retain) for a nationwide network of repair facilities
  • Submit electronic claims to vendors for reimbursement
  • Utilize manufacturer’s websites to determine warranty coverage

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical and/or claims adjustment experience
  • General Computer Skills
  • Clerical and administrative knowledge
  • Experience in transportation or automotive parts and repair industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in learning new technologies
  • Active listening skills
  • Basic knowledgeof Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Self-motivation.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
