Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Office Manager/Dispatcher to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the logistics and coordination of all moving operations, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. While dispatching and managing logistics will be the main focus, the ideal candidate should also possess practical knowledge of moving procedures to assist with jobs when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the dispatching of moving crews, coordinating schedules, and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency.
  • Account for all details related to each move, including inventory, equipment, and personnel requirements.
  • Ensure timely communication with customers, keeping them informed throughout the moving process and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Supervise and support moving crews, providing guidance and assistance as needed to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to accurately track expenses, invoices, and payments associated with each move.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges or issues and implement effective solutions to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and best practices.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with estimating moving costs and providing quotes to customers.
  • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and scheduling requests.
  • Participate in moving operations as needed, including loading, unloading, and transporting items.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the moving or logistics industry preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and applications for scheduling, dispatching, and record-keeping.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor as required during moving operations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
