Regional Sales Manager: Southern California or Las Vegas Metro Area

Malco Products, a reputable specialty hand tool company headquartered in Annandale, MN, is introducing Regional Sales Managers into our expanding organization. This new role will continue to drive growth and expand our market presence in the Western Territory. The ideal candidate will be located within the Southern California or Las Vegas Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support new and existing customer relationships to achieve territory sales goals in alignment with overall business sales strategy.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory, including distribution, contractors, unions, and trade schools.
  • Manage outside sales rep agencies, providing regular communication, feedback, coaching, training, and ensuring sales goals are met.
  • Utilize the company CRM tool to track, report, and manage all sales activities, resulting in improved customer retention and increased revenue.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and analyze their potential impact on the business to make informed decisions that capitalize on opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast projected monthly and annual shipments to maintain customer and company inventory efficiently.
Skills, Capabilities and Travel:
  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to analyze their impact.
  • Forecasting and inventory management skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Problem-solving skills to address customer issues promptly.
  • Understanding of distribution and manufacturing rep structures.
  • Travel within the designated territory, encompassing a significant portion of the work week, with periodic nights spent away from home.
Education, Experience & Wage:
  • Bachelor's degree with a business focus.
  • Minimum of 5-years of inside or outside sales experience.
  • The total starting compensation for this position ranges from $100-$125K annually, depending on experience. In addition to this base salary, there are bonus opportunities based on performance.
