  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • This is a 28 bed cardiac telemetry unit, caring for all cardiac needs including post op care. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.
  • Department: Stepdown Intermediate Care
  • Shift Timings: 06:30 - 19:00
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of RN Cardiac Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Oklahoma state license
