Web Project Manager College Board - AP&I Location: This is a fully remote role, but candidates who live near College Board offices can be fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office). Type:This is a full-time temp position expected to last 6 months from the start date and candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week. About the Team With more than 38 courses and exams across multiple subject areas, Advanced Placement is the most widely accepted college-level academic program available to high school students. Each year, students around the world who want to achieve at the highest level become AP students. Through AP's college-level courses and exams, students can earn college credit and advanced placement, stand out in the college admission process, and learn from some of the most talented and inspiring teachers in the world. The AP Web Management team is committed to ensuring critical information about the AP program is available on our web sites, collaborating with both program subject matter experts as well as cross-divisional stakeholders such as Communications, Marketing, and Legal. About the Opportunity As the Web Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the AP Web Management team run its web content production project dashboard, ensuring projects move through the production process consistently using established conventions and standards as laid out by the AP Web team. You will support keeping the AP web team's schedules and project plans up to date, creating Gantt charts, schedules, and other planning documents that will help the team stay organized as work is completed. You will help run and improve the project management process, including how the team manages updates to web pages via copy decks or other means, how assignments are delegated, and where documentation is maintained. You will support the team in other project management tasks related to AP websites and web properties. Your key responsibilities are: Web Content Production Operations (70%) * Keep all assigned tickets on the AP Web Work Smartsheet board updated and moving through the production process * Stay in close communication with the Web Content Leads while they update the preview environment pages * Work with stakeholders throughout the production process by sending content decks to stakeholders * Ensure edits to decks are clear before passing them to the web team, assisting with additional edits from stakeholders during the quality control process, and notifying stakeholders when their updates have gone live Process Optimization (30%) * Create posting schedules and surface possible conflicts with the broader AP Web Team with enough anticipation to address them * Support capacity planning with the team and ensure that the actual launch date of each ticket is recorded before closing it out * Ensure that annual work tickets are entered and prioritized within Smartsheet. * Document team processes in team wiki and share when clarifications are needed * Work with team project leads to determine priority of tickets About You You have: * 4-6 years of experience in a web project management role (i.e., a role primarily supporting website projects) and a bachelor's degree or similar experience in a related field * Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel and as a member of a larger team * Systems and routines that guide your daily operations and help you squeeze efficiency and productivity out of your time * Excellent attention to detail, you are the one catching things before projects are launched or completed * Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to groups of 15 or more * Proven ability to build relationships and influence others to action * Proficiency with office software (word processing, spre dsheet management, presentation decks); mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) preferred. * Familiarity with other project management software such as Smartsheet is preferred * Project Management certification a plus * Familiarity with a "post-Agile" world or mentality * Authorization to work in the United States About Our Process * Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled * While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise and/or panel interview, and reference checks.
