We are seeking a Controller to become an integral part of our team in the greater Sacramento, CA You will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel
  • Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to Senior Management
  • Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments
  • Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
  • Process state, local, and sales tax returns
  • Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Prepare and provide monthly detail for general journal entries
  • Ensure proper recording and accountability for controls to mitigate risk
  • Prepare month end close and corresponding reports
  • Enhance accuracy of financial records that comply with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration, Masters Degree preferred.
  • 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
