HVAC/R Technician

Anderson County Schools is accepting applications for a HVAC/R technician.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
- HVAC/R certifications and schooling are strongly preferred (EPA 608 Universal preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and refrigerant faults in HVAC systems
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams
- Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in diverse conditions including, but not limited to, roof tops, equipment rooms with noisy machines, attics, crawlspaces, and around high voltage electrical equipment
Responsibilities:
As an HVAC/R service technician, your job will be to maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems. This will include repairing refrigerant leaks, repairing electrical faults, replacing worn or failed parts, belts, and bearings, handling refrigerant safely, and interacting with high voltage electrical equipment, amongst other duties. Occasional overtime is necessary, as well as occasionally coming in at odd hours, outside of normal working hours. All necessary tools for the job are provided, and you will have a work vehicle to drive while at work. You will have a county cell phone provided
