Our Orthopedics (3-S) department is seeking a Full Time, Day shift Registered Nurse with a minimum of a nationally accredited nursing degree. You will provide direct nursing care to patients and act as a clinical leader to other staff in a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment. We treat a diverse patient demographic, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe direct care to patients
  • Implement and document individualized care plans
  • Assist with special tests and procedures
  • Participate in orientation and perform evaluation responsibilities of new personnel
  • Institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients
  • Maintain patient medical records
  • Administer medication according to policies and communicate clinical findings
  • Enhance professional growth and development
  • Foster patient participation in care decisions and report potential or actual safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR for Healthcare and BLS required, PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy work
  • Experience in bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo desirable
