Saint Andrew's School is seeking a talented Art Specialist who loves working with children and will lead with excitement and enthusiasm for the 2025 summer camp season Art Specialists should have an interest in leading daily art related activities, engaging with campers, and working in a hands-on, fun environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • teach Art to campers ages 3 to 12
  • direction, supervision and organization of art activities
  • Plan activities and order supplies that are age appropriate for campers
  • ensure lesson plans and supply lists are completed before the start of camp
  • provide oversight of campers as needed
  • support other camp operations as needed
Required to attend in-person training sessions or mandatory meetings on:
  • 5/27 from 5:30pm to 9:30pm (Staff Orientation)
  • 5/28 from 5:30pm to 9:30pm (Staff Orientation)
  • 5/29 from 5:30pm to 7pm (Head Counselor Training)
  • 5/30 from 5pm to 7:45pm (Parent Orientation - Session 1 and Full Summer Campers)
  • 6/24 from 5:30pm to 7pm (Parent Orientation-Session 2)
Qualifications

Requirements:
  • must be 21 years old or older
  • Minimum of 1 year instruction or related experience
  • must be available all nine weeks of camp (June 2 to August 1, 2025)
  • possess leadership skills and responsible decision making
  • willingness to lead and/or assist in additional programming or duties as assigned
  • act as a positive role model to campers and counselors while representing Saint Andrew's School
  • First Aid, CPR and AED certified - training will be provided by Saint Andrew's School prior to camp


Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and for the majority of the work day. May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
