The Healthcare Business Analyst will support the Finance and Operations departments regarding reporting and analyzing clinic data. This individual will be reconciling the information from the Business Office and the information from the Operations team to understand what is happening and recommend options for improvement. Support the Operations teams and other department heads in developing both operational and capital budgets and working with them to improve their processes. Also, the Healthcare Business Analyst will assist in developing financial and strategic plans for the organization and work to develop possible solutions to improve income and manage expenses.

Location: 444 NW Elks Dr. Corvallis, OR (Training will be onsite; role has opportunity to be remote following training period).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; potential for schedule flexibility following training period

Role Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within
  • Works with department heads to assist in the building of annual budgets, modeling, and forecasts by gathering and analyzing data
  • Acquires data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data bases / data systems
  • Analyzes financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilizes BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
  • Provides detailed analysis and commentary on departmental results
  • Prepares business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Reviews existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
  • Evaluates previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Communicates results and recommendations for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
  • Supports data collection, analysis, and evaluation of business metrics to drive process improvement and ensure business success
  • Works collaboratively with all groups within The Corvallis Clinic
  • Performs additional tasks and take on additional duties as assigned or needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, healthcare administration or related field and 1+ year(s) of experience pulling, verifying, and presenting data OR Associate's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, healthcare administration or related field and 3+ years of experience pulling, verifying, and presenting data
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL, Tableau, and Power BI or equivalent reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding, RVU's and contract analysis
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of reporting tools
  • Athena and EPIC experience
  • General accounting skills including knowledge of accounting principles, standards and techniques, as well as calculating budgets, cost analysis and reduction
  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
  • Able to solve complex problems and exhibit critical thinking

Soft Skills:

  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships, be flexible, and thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and providers
  • Self-motivated and strong initiative with strong organizational skills
