Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, preferably in Medical/Surgical Telemetry

License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in your state of residence. If residing in a National License Compact state, meet licensure requirements in your home state. For Non-Compact states, a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner is required in the state where the RN works.

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Must-Have: Med/Tele experience required

Job Description:

- Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for individualized health plans.
- Develop plans that prescribe strategies to achieve expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement identified plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and safety.
- Delegate care elements to appropriate healthcare workers within legal and policy parameters.

- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner, adhering to ethical practices.
- Promote shared governance, decision-making activities, and research to positively affect clinical outcomes.
- Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must lift and support up to 35 pounds for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Critical thinking and the ability to concentrate are essential, with the capability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- RTO (Requested Time Off) is not approved on Halloween and only 1 holiday for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day.
- Candidates must possess a current Basic Life Support status according to the American Heart Association.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively.
