The Senior Account Executive role is an individual contributor responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum's Market Leading Contextual Advertising platform. Reporting to Sales Director in Los Angeles, this role is responsible for developing key relationships within large and mid-size agencies with occasional managerial guidance on strategic client calls. We require this role to work relatively autonomously while being supported by a cross-functional pre-sales team.
Senior Account Executives have experience and deep knowledge of the online media landscape, the advertising community and have at least 3+ years of digital media experience. The Senior Account Executive uses existing processes to solve a variety of challenging problems to deliver for clients. The role is required to apply independent judgment and discretion to select appropriate options from GumGum's defined and proven products.
Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. However, for occasional in-person collaboration, we kindly ask that this position be located within a 'commutable' distance to our office.

What You'll Achieve
- Drive Revenue: Manage a $2M+ book of business, driving renewals and new business in LA.
- Upsell Clients: Provide insights into display and video offerings to key brands and agencies.
- Sales Activities: High volume of calls, presentations, RFPs, and creative sales solutions.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify opportunities from marketing-driven leads.
- Relationship Building: Develop deep connections with brands and agencies to provide tailored solutions.
- Client Feedback: Relay insights to the product team for better service.
- Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure smooth proposal implementation.
- Bachelor's in Media, Marketing, or Advertising.
- 3-4 years in digital ad sales with a $2M+ book of business.
- Proven sales track record with brand and agency contacts.
- Programmatic sales experience preferred.
- Proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strategic relationship-building abilities.
- Organized with strong time management skills.
- Quick problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, eager to grow Horizon NY.
- Analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Hungry, motivated, and passionate about GumGum.
- Outgoing and able to build client relationships.
- Proactive, with a sense of urgency.
At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from ($79,000 - $96,000) annually. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions.
The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
