Overview

MRR Mechanical Engineer Technician

Location: Elizabeth City, NC

Clearance: Active Secret

Provide the USCG Air Logistics Center Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Division technical, business, and administrative support for planning, organizing and maintaining project schedules using project management software.

Responsibilities

· Act as the technical expert in developmental and structural processes.

· May train and be assisted by lower level technicians, and performs one (1) or more of the following:

o Technical, business, and administrative support.

o Planning.

o Organizing.

· Maintain project schedules using project management software.

· Evaluation the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to identify sources, parts, and equipment necessary to develop and execute work on a WBS.

· Report on project status utilizing cost, schedule, and resource measurements, reports, and analyses as required.

· Identify, locate, and research USCG or equivalent DHS/DOD, Federal, and industry technical publications, process guides, and manuals for modification, testing, certification, and sustainment of MRR aircraft.

· Technical publication development for engineering, prototype installation and maintenance support, including manufacturing drawings, illustrated parts catalogs, maintenance procedures, and technical order documents.

· Proficient in use of the USCG of equivalent DHS/DOD supply management software to include, but not limited to, AMMIS, ACMS, ALMIS, and FEDLOG.

· Provide support to aid in technical writing publication efforts to support USCG aviation.

Qualifications

Required:

· Minimum four (4) years’ experience in aviation related engineering functions.

· Possess a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred:

· Minimum of three (3) years’ experience directly related to maintenance/support of the Sikorsky H-60 family of aircraft is preferred.

· Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the current production configuration of USCG’s MH-60T aircraft is preferred.
