Job Title: DispatcherJob Description

We are seeking a highly efficient and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to dispatch drivers swiftly, handle cashiering processes, and perform heavy data entry tasks. The role involves communication with truckers and clients via email and phone, and requires strong experience in dispatching and customer service within the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch drivers in 4 minutes or less.

  • Handle cashiering processes by taking tickets from drivers and uploading them into the company system.

  • Perform heavy data entry and upload reports into Excel.

  • Communicate and dispatch truckers to the port and four other locations.

  • Correspond with clients via email with excellent email etiquette.

  • Communicate with customers frequently over the phone with good phone etiquette.

  • Enter port reports in Excel accurately and quickly.

  • Utilize a strong background in dispatching, customer service, and logistics.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of recent dispatching experience in the logistics industry.

  • 3+ years of data entry and 10-key experience.

  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel for reporting purposes.

  • 3 years of customer service experience with excellent phone and email etiquette.

  • Direct dispatch experience, including dispatching to ports.

  • Proficiency in computer use and understanding of port websites (e.g., Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Port experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced logistics, trucking, and distribution environment. The shift hours are Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00
