H & P Technologies, Inc. is an industrial distributor and service company based in Warren, Michigan with multiple locations in the mid-west. We are looking for an entry-level computer technician/systems administrator to join our team. As a Systems Administrator, you will work closely with the rest of the IT team to learn all the Information Technology department job functions. Under general supervision, the Systems Administrator will provide software, hardware, and network problem resolution to end-users by performing problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions. *Responsibilities * Provide end-user support for hardware and software issues. Perform new system builds and upgrades. Assist in monitoring and maintaining backend systems, including servers, firewalls, and networking equipment. Document systems and network descriptions and procedures. Manage the Microsoft 365 tenant. Manage our endpoint security system. * * Skills and Experience * * A High School diploma and some work experience are required. An Associate's Degree or working towards a degree is preferred. A+ Certification is a plus. Basic understanding of networking and hardware skills in such things as VPN's, VLAN's, Windows Server, etc.. Be able to work after hours and on weekends regularly. Must be self-motivated with a desire to learn new technologies. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
