Job Description
Perform engineering design and development tasks and assist in various phases of ongoing projects. Work with a dynamic team of systems software electrical and mechanical engineers to improve existing and create new best-in-class products.
Job Duties
-
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry and embedded firmware for electronic equipment or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.

May serve as a mentor to junior employees and interns.

Create and maintain document specifications for new and mature products.
-
Responsible for CAD documentation and use of the department’s configuration control system (such as specifications, ECNs, and First Article Approvals).

Participate in design qualification testing.

Influences team and collaborates across engineering disciplines.
Job Requirements
Education:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 8+ year experience or 6+ years with MS
Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of schematic capture tools in implementing schematic designs for analog and digital circuits.
-
Strong knowledge of PCB layout tools in creating multi-layer PCBs using signal integrity best practices.
-
High ability to simulate and create analog designs utilizing Op- Amp FET’s analog switches and · discrete components.
-
Ability to design analog and digital circuits as it applies to data acquisition and digital signal processing systems.

Knowledge of Verilog HDL for FPGA designs with familiarity of Xilinx and Altera devices and tools. ·

Design experience with MCU/application processor based embedded system designs utilizing external SRAM SDRAM DDR2/3 flash memory devices, High Speed ADCs and DACs. ·

Design experience with various protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, PCI-E and USB. ·

Knowledge of embedded firmware development using C and/or C++ Experience with various Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes DMM signal generators and logic analyzers
