Come join our dynamic team of Respiratory Therapists, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and hospital affiliated Pulmonologists, Cardiologists, and Internal Medicine Physicians

Fox Subacute is the oldest and the largest ventilator facility in Pennsylvania conveniently located in beautiful South Philadelphia minutes from the ball parks. Fox Subacute is a 53-bed facility that provides care to clinically complex respiratory and ventilator dependent residents. Fox offers the acuity level of a hospital step down unit while giving its RTs the opportunity to really get to know and care for their resident's long term.

Our ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and critical thinking skills, a superior work ethic, and the ability to communicate well with all members of the multidisciplinary team from MDs, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Certified Nursing Assistants, etc.

Qualifications:
Maintain a valid PA License as a Respiratory Therapist
Must have an updated BLS CPR certification
Embrace our person-centered care approach to meet each resident's needs and preferences and possesses a true passion for excellence in nursing care
Demonstrates the ability to remain calm and perform effectively during peak periods of activity and emergency situations
Able to read, write, and speak the English language clearly
Ability to perform the physical tasks required in skilled nursing
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
In coordination with the healthcare team, assesses, plans, directs, evaluates, and modifies each resident's care plan to meet with his/her physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs
Completes medication administration and treatment needs for all assigned residents
Provides direct resident care as needed and directed by Physician's orders or Policies and Procedures
Maintains ventilators, O2 levels and other variables of respiratory care
Uses skilled interventions to provide symptom management and relief
Identifies resident problems and needs through continuously collecting data and observing residents
Assists with hook-ups, portable vents, wheel chairs and other issues of transporting residents
