The Center for Behavioral Health's Mission is to strive to be the integrated mental and behavioral health provider of choice for the Seminole Tribe of Florida utilizing culturally sensitive and empirically based interventions that promote optimal individual functioning and well-being, while treating Tribal members with compassion, respect, and dignity.
CBH is a CARF accredited mental and behavioral health outpatient provider for adults, adolescents and children. CBH provides a comprehensive array of behavioral health services including: substance abuse and mental health therapy, psychiatric services for children and adults, psychological services for children and adults, crisis intervention and stabilization, case management, prevention initiatives year-round and a 24 hour on call service to the tribal communities. Additionally, we provide occupational, speech/language, behavioral analysis and physical therapies to tribal children reservation wide. The schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm in-office, however flexibility is needed for on-call afterhours. It's based at the Hollywood Reservation at 111 W Coral Way, Hollywood, Florida 33021. Travel is required to oversee our other Reservations including Immokalee, Clewiston, Okeechobee, and Tampa.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for directing the overall operations and delivery services of community-based mental and behavioral health clinical programs designed to support the needs of Seminole Tribal Members. The individual oversees and directs the clinical services, treatment and recovery programs ensuring quality of services, oversees the provision of immediate crisis intervention, stabilization services for Tribal families with a child or children at imminent risk of danger, and the administration of transitional housing and therapeutic services to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's youth and families. The Director provides technical advice and guidance to staff regarding the implementation of the treatment and prevention programs as well as welfare services. The incumbent supervises staff members in all aspects of service delivery ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and STOF policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PsyD) or Board Certified Medical Doctor in Psychiatry or related field is required. A minimum of seven (10) years of experience working in the implementation and coordination of treatment plans or working with mental health, substance abuse, and foster care issues in a supervisory capacity; and five (5) years of experience in professional counseling is required. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community based treatment. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and other facilities. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
