Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: The Special Procedures, Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology Radiology Technologist demonstrates training and proficiency in assisting the Physician to perform a variety of specialized procedures in the Interventional suite. Special Procedures, Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology Radiology Technologist are responsible for assisting physicians and other clinicians as they perform procedures such as fluoroscopy guided cardiac and peripheral catherization's (Intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella assist devices) with stenting, ballooning, and thrombectomy, insertion of implantable devices (Permanent pacemaker, temporary pacemaker, loop recorder, and AICD), EP Studies, Cardiac ablations and assisting with interventional radiology procedures (biopsies, dialysis access, kyphoplasty procedures, clot retrieval, and embolization's). All procedures require highly specialized training while maintaining sterile technique. Additional expectations include, but are not limited to, scheduling of procedures, room preparation, patient positioning, patient screening, physician assist as scrub tech, monitoring of procedures with occasional circulator duties, groin management, and room turnover post procedure. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work well on their own, and work well in a team setting. On-call requirement; 4 ten-hour shifts Monday-Friday. Associates degree required. Completion of a certified vascular technician program preferred.
