POSITION SUMMARY
The PO Specialist, Procurement will be responsible for guiding the PO process to support all aspects of the Company's operations. Reporting to the Associate Director, Procurement and interacting with all senior leadership of the company, the role will engage relationships with budget owners across the Company and be responsible for the compliance and accuracy of all purchase order components and processing at Structure Therapeutics. The PO Analyst ensures that products, services, and vendor relationships are in the best interest of the company. This position is responsible for the evaluation of vendors and contracts including co-launching Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Information (RFI). This position works under minimal supervision on complex assignments that require considerable independent discretion and judgement. This role is project based and is required to work on projects requiring research, negotiation skills, and evaluation of services and be able to make a recommendation based on their research. They would provide recommendations of supplier selections based on research. They support the business areas in evaluation of goods or services and can provide a customer first approach in creating and aligning a negotiation plan with the internal business stakeholders and co-participating in leading the negotiation process with the suppliers. Remote employees will be required to come on-site in SSF/1 week a month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sourcing: Identifying suitable suppliers and developing sources of supply
  • Negotiating: Create negotiation plans for business terms and cost targets with suppliers and consultants
  • Analyzing: Researching, analyzing, and forecasting buying trends, markets, and products
  • Managing Supply: Overseeing and maintaining inventory on key categories such as laptops
  • Planning strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Risk Assessment: Assessing financial risks of purchases
  • Assist project managers and departments in monitoring their budgets against the PO's
  • Support daily tasks associated with vendor selection, and purchase order processing
  • Review Intake Requests, Quotes, Order Forms, `SOW's and contracts for accuracy and process into purchase orders
  • Monitor PO's for non-budgeted requisitions with proper approval support documentation from senior management
  • Perform cost and variance analysis, with benchmarking for management reporting
  • Evaluate and review new vendors
  • Review and complete PO close per month
  • Track on time delivery performance of Intake Requests, related Legal Requests, suppliers, and suppliers' non conformances
  • Collaborate with legal department to ensure all new executed contracts are supported with a timely purchase order with proper terms, accounting, and SOX compliance
  • Resolve inquiries with vendor
  • Drive process adherence and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
  • Assist with other ad-hoc requests and projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience ideally with high-growth companies in the technology, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry, nice to have but not required - more interested in experience dealing with clinical partners in the procurement space
  • Experienced with Zip and NetSuite, Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses and Requests, Vendor Relationships, Organization, Customer Service, Documentation Skills, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, and Cost Accounting a plus


Travel - 20%

The target salary range for this full-time role is $88,000 to $106,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education and training.
