Under general supervision, this position supports the division's database management and business application customization efforts. The role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing solutions for stable, efficient, and effective recordkeeping and analysis of professional service contracts, with a focus on data analytics tools and modern automation practices.

  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for Consultant Contracts data management and technical processes.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide support and training to internal and external stakeholders on all Consultant Contracts systems, applications and user interfaces.
  • Create reports and queries that are concise, intuitive, and actionable using data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within Consultant Contracts information systems.
  • Assist with installation, testing and deployment of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and software changes.
  • Deliver training on technical subjects to internal and external users tailored to different levels of expertise.
  • Write, edit, and publish technical materials and user guides.
  • Support the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of Consultant Contracts database and software applications.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from various Department software applications.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites for internal and external users including site customization and automation.
  • Assist in preparing, loading and maintaining content in contract reports.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of reporting tools, software applications and data analytics practices used in Consultant Contracts.


Minimum Requirements

Education and experience: The educational equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field; OR the educational equivalent to a diploma from an accredited high school plus a minimum of four years of directly related experience. Experience writing, translating, and coding queries in SQL, JSON, Python, DAX, MCODE or PnP PowerShell. Experience with SharePoint customization, troubleshooting, and automation. Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools preferred. Experience with Oracle databases preferred.

Knowledge, skills and abilities: Proficiency in working in SQL databases. Ability to write, translate, and code queries in SQL and/or Power Query (MCODE). Knowledge of data governance practices and the ability to apply appropriate security settings for different user groups. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, accuracy, and creativity. Advanced skills of Microsoft Office applications and a proven ability to adapt to new technologies. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task effectively.

Working conditions: Office environment.
