Mail & Imaging Specialist

Job Summary/Objective
Perform various Mail Center/Shipping/Receiving activities (sorting, scanning, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.)
Digital mail activities
Drive to / from the Post Office daily to retrieve and drop off mail.
Ability to plan and organize, ability to multitask
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a work environment
Strong computer skills
Maintain all logs and reporting documentation: attention to detail.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform various Mail Center/Shipping/Receiving activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.)
- Lift heavy boxes, files, or paper when needed
- Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
- Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
- Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
- Adhere to all safety procedures
- Take direction from the site manager
- Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail
- Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned
- Operating mailing, copy, or scanning equipment
- Shipping & Receiving
- Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Provide backfill when needed
- Enter information daily into spreadsheets
- Sort and deliver mail, small packages
- Batches documents
- Keys data from source documents in a timely and efficient manner
- Performs acceptable volume of work in timely, efficient and accurate manner and in order of scheduled priorities to meet or exceed client expectations of processing schedule
- Performs verification duties as required
- Keys correcting entries as indicated by verification or other warning
- May need to troubleshoot data problems
- May operate peripheral equipment
- May assist in development of production formats and keying procedures
- Demonstrates high levels of safety awareness and notifies supervisor of potential hazards
- Follows the security and privacy policies, standards and guidelines in order to protect the informational assets of both the company and their customers
- Performs other duties as required
- Repetitive motion is required: may require twisting/bending/climbing
- Required to work at computer for long periods
- Required to stand, walk, simple grasp, reach with hands and arms
- Required to regularly sit, talk or hear
- Required to possess close vision and ability to focus
- Conditions may include office environment, computer room, production floor, warehouse and shipping/receiving. Occasional exposure to dust, dirt, toner, ink and other environmental factors is possible.
Qualifications
Required:
- Keyboarding and Windows environment PC skills required (Word, Excel)
- Experience running mail posting equipment a plus
- Experience with data entry
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Lifting up to 55 lbs with or without accommodations
- Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned and provide backup support at nearby customer site
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time for mail/package delivery and processing incoming/outgoing items
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
- Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Required to work at computer for long periods

The pay range for this position starts at $20/hr.; however, base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
