SEM Strategist

We're seeking a passionate SEM Strategist to join the team of our client - a Kansas City-based digital agency. This role is perfect for a data-driven marketer who thrives on crafting and executing impactful search engine marketing campaigns. Based on candidate experience, this role could be remote with in-office work as needed OR on-site Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday. Responsibilities:

  • Primary owner of the digital marketing aspects in researching, planning, and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Collaborates with project managers and strategists to devise and implement effective marketing plans for clients
  • Manage SEM for one-off website design and development projects
  • Supports identifying, reporting, and analyzing marketing metrics to measure company and client success
  • Offers data-supported solutions and recommendations to optimize marketing campaigns
  • Regularly iterates marketing strategy to maximize what is working and minimize what is not
  • Creatively and effectively resolves complex SEM issues
  • Supports in identifying and proposing incremental opportunities for further client engagement

Required Skills:

  • 1-4 years SEM experience
  • Proficiency in SEM tools and techniques, including Google Ads
  • Basic understanding of SEO tools and techniques
  • Ability to update CMS websites (ideally WordPress)
  • Analyze web traffic metrics and monitor SEM key performance indicators
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides)
  • Experience with various analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Tag Manager)
  • Proficient in reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for client interactions
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask effectively
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new situations and remote work environments
  • Proficient in various reporting tools (eg Looker studio)
