Job Description

Provide emergency care to patients through assessment, planning, coordination and intervention. Delegate aspects of care to nursing personnel and other disciplines based upon their job descriptions.

Essential Functions
  • Provide rapid assessment and stabilization of patients experiencing life-threatening trauma or illness.
  • Provide direct treatment to patients, including minor medical procedures.
  • Establish diagnosis and treatment plan for patients in the Emergency Room
Other Duties
  • Performs other duties as requested
  • Participates in departmental or organizational meetings and trainings
  • Demonstrates ability to use equipment relevant to the position
Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited PA program
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working effectively as team member with physicians and other staff
License or Certification
  • Maintain National Certification
  • Eligible for registration with MN Board of Medical Practice
  • First Aid and CPR Certification ALS
