Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electric Distribution Engineer to lead our electric distribution engineering team. This role involves overseeing engineering design, field engineering, mapping, drafting, and the utility’s Geographic Information System (GIS). You will direct the planning, design, and installation of electric transmission and distribution facilities. Additionally, you will submit capital improvement budget proposals by forecasting and prioritizing system needs, establishing project scope, and estimating project costs and schedules. You will also oversee mapping, drafting, and GIS personnel to ensure accurate system maps, drawings, and other records. This position requires managing the implementation of policies and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Southwest Power Pool Transmission System Regulatory matters. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, you will play a crucial role during compliance audits.
