Family/Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity Near GREAT NECK, NY

Responsibilities:
  • Full Scope of Primary Care: Provide a comprehensive range of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.
  • Patient Evaluation:
    • Review patient's history and perform physical examinations.
    • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care. Refer patients to specialists as needed.
  • Clinical Diagnostic Skills:
    • Demonstrate quality clinical diagnostic skills in delivering patient care.
    • Review all test results and recommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations and habits.
  • Prescription and Treatment Plans:
    • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
  • Relationship-Centered Care:
    • Provide relationship-centered care, considering both psychosocial and physical needs of the patient.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.
  • Educational Participation:
    • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.
  • Residency: Completion of three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.
  • Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine.
  • License: Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license.
  • Registration: Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
  • Enrollment: Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
  • Certification: BLS or ACLS required.
  • Communication Skills: Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
