About the Company:
Our client, a leading multi-location construction firm, is currently seeking a Senior Construction Controller to join their growing team. This role will oversee the financial operations of one of their largest divisions.

Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Controller will manage the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, senior leadership, and the finance team to provide strategic financial insights and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and budgets for construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity as needed.
  • Manage, mentor, and support Assistant Controllers and Project Accountants.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure financial alignment and transparency.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in construction accounting with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction accounting and financial principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
