Essential Job Functions

The Executive Coach for the Nonprofit Executive Director Cohort is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading meaningful, engaging, and productive discussions among nonprofit executive directors. This role supports leadership development, knowledge exchange, and collaborative problem-solving within the nonprofit sector. The Executive Coach ensures that cohort sessions foster a supportive and inspiring environment where executive directors can connect, share experiences, and identify strategies to address common challenges.

What You'll Do
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate regularly scheduled cohort sessions (monthly or as determined)
  • Guide discussions to ensure they remain focused, inclusive, and productive, while encouraging diverse perspectives
  • Develop agendas and provide relevant materials to participants before each meeting
  • Build and maintain relationships with cohort participants to foster a sense of community and collaboration
  • Document meeting highlights and key takeaways to share with participants after each session
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, organizational development, or a related field at time of application
  • 5 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, facilitation, or executive coaching
  • Proven ability to facilitate group discussions effectively and inclusively
  • Knowledge of nonprofit sector challenges, opportunities, and trends
  • Experience working with executive leaders and navigating complex organizational dynamics
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in nonprofit management, organizational development, or a related field
  • International Coaching Federation's (ICF) certification

Conditions of Appointment

The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be asked to travel to additional locations based on course needs.

Position is a part-time Academic Staff appointment. The Nonprofit Executive Director Course and course instructor role is contingent upon satisfactory enrollment. If enrollments are not sufficient to warrant continuing one or more of the courses, appointments may be modified to suit the enrollment demands, including withdrawal of an appointment offer.

Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s) and if there is prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

All final candidates will be asked to provide names, email contact information, and/or phone numbers for three (3) references, with at least one being from a manager or supervisor, during the interview process.
