The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (PE) with a proven track record of success in managing high voltage substations and leading executive teams. The candidate must have an ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities As the Director of Engineering Operations, your primary responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional growth.
Planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
Collaborating with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department.
Developing and maintaining key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering operations.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications To be considered for the Director of Engineering Operations position, you must have the following qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering industry.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
An ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering.
Strong experience in planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement.
