Pricing Coordinator

The Pricing Coordinator supports the Pricing objectives of the company and is responsible for providing support to the pricing, vendor, and product management areas to ensure the objectives of the vendor management, costing, pricing, and product information plans are met through accurate data entry, product file maintenance, and customer file support related to Pricing. Position assists with vendor initiatives, customer contract applications, and providing appropriate branch and customer communications and updates. Position reports to the Pricing Manager.
Essential Job Function
- Supports the PDW and Pricing functions through efficient and accurate data entry and file review. Ensures accurate entry of approved discounts, special discounts, and everyday pricing in assigned areas.
- Performs data entry for the Pricing department, ensuring the data integrity of product files and records for consistent and accurate data. Includes providing support for all aspects of product file sync, data merges, and mass product file maintenance through file import and mass load.
- Responds timely to requests and tickets, proving customer support providing excellent customer service. Investigates and addresses issues as assigned, escalating issues and requests as needed.
- Responsible for application of contracts to customers.
- Exports data and syncs data to Johnstone Supply Product File.
- Reviews and processes pricing and other related changes to ensure accurate product files.
- Supports vendor related tasks, including setting up new items within the supply chain.
- Supports automated processes for updating the product file, attributes, pricing matrices, and other associated processes.
- Applies established standards and processes in performing data entry for the department.
- Generates reports, provides analysis, and assists with projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth and efficient operation of the department and to maintain a high level of support and service in achieving the Ware Group's business operations.
Internal Relationships
Interfaces, confers, and communicates daily with supervisor, department colleagues, Pricing, Marketing, Vendor Management, IT and Accounts Payable department personnel, and branch personnel.
External Relationships
Interfaces and communicates with relevant Johnstone Supply representatives at Corporate office. Interfaces and communicates regularly with vendors and vendor partners.
Final Decision Maker
Decision making is limited to the scope and breadth of individual responsibilities based on standard operating procedures within the department. Changes to standardized procedures must first be approved by the department management. Position requires frequent decision-making regarding data integrity within a set of guidelines.
Education, Work Experience & Specialized Skills, or Knowledge
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in data entry with ability to upload files into multiple systems.
- Strong mathematical skills required.
- Able to demonstrate competency across primary Microsoft Office software products required. Strong Excel and database skills required.
- Attention to accuracy and high ability of detail orientation.
- Previous experience in data entry or pricing support is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate proficiently in English in both formats.

Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. Hand and finger coordination are essential throughout workday, hearing and speaking ability key to this position. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and lift up to twenty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Office Environment: Standard office configurations and conference rooms with work performed with computers, calculators, copy machines, fax, scanners, printers, etc. Office environments are all air conditioned in all four seasons.
