Operational Excellence Coordinator

Candidate will be reporting to the plant management directly with dotted-line responsibility to the Director of Operational Excellence. This position is developmental/transitional, and the candidate should be capable of being considered for future Managerial, Engineering, Quality or Divisional OE succession.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and assure the integrity of the Bonnell Business system:
- Use the Business System as the guide to drive systems and decisions.
- Support/assure management standard work exists and is effective.
- Drive/Co-own the PDM process to assure direction of improvement supports plant goals.
- Track and report on key metrics as defined by the PDM.
- Establish review schedule and standard work for PDM activities.
- Support management with critical thinking processes to elevate the organization.
- Lead, direct, and mentor OPEX Greenbelts and their project teams.
- Track and report on key projects, participate actively in phase gate reviews.
- Maintain and keep current list of potential projects i.e., manage project portfolio.
- Will be a part of a wider OPEX network and should be able to travel and assist in training, OPEX events, and other Divisional activities.
- Work with high-performance teams to develop operators by coaching problem-solving methods at the source for root-cause elimination.
- Resource for goal setting and opportunity identification
- Safety mentor and advocate
- Facilitate Kaizen and Mentor others to do so.
- Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification or ability to certify with project results will be expected.
- Master of Science or other Secondary degree highly preferred, however applicable experience will be considered. (Must have 5 years minimum experience to be considered).
- Previous demonstrated Leadership experience required.

- Demonstrated Critical thinking skills.
- Computer skills preferred at a minimum proficient in MS Office.

- Demonstrated responsibility for personnel development.
- Demonstrates awareness of organizational, cultural group and/or interpersonal dynamics through attentive listening and ability to read the environment.
- Ability to travel and support other facilities if required.
- Facilitate Kaizen & Mentor others to do so.

Bonnell Aluminum is North America's premier manufacturer of custom aluminum extrusions. We manufacture mill finish, anodized, painted and thermally broken aluminum extrusions. Our press size ranges from 1,550 to 5,500-tons.
We produce large diameter extrusions requiring high-quality surface finish up to 16 inches in circle size. Fabricators and distributors use our extruded profiles in various applications: curtain walls, storefronts, light to heavy commercial and institutional windows, walkway covers, interior architectural products, photovoltaic panels, solar collectors, heat sinks for L.E.D. lighting, shower enclosures, hurricane protection products, automotive, light trucks, recreational vehicles, and industrial machinery.
