This key role demands a deep understanding of complex financial analysis within a manufacturing context and expertise in leading financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze detailed journal entries, including Percentage of Completion, Cost of Sales Accrual, Intercompany Transactions, and Revenue Recognition, specifically within a machine manufacturing environment.
  • Control Environment Leadership: Oversee and enhance the control environment for the US Distribution team, ensuring robust financial controls tailored to manufacturing processes.
  • Policy and Procedure Expertise: Serve as the main contact for policies and procedures related to technical accounting, with a focus on manufacturing-specific requirements.
  • ERP Management: Manage ERP approval workflows and collaborate with IT to maintain efficient system operations, addressing manufacturing-related needs.
  • Audit Documentation: Fulfill internal and external audit documentation requests with accuracy and efficiency, focusing on manufacturing financial activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular and ad-hoc analyses for the Finance Director or VP/GM of the business unit, emphasizing insights related to manufacturing operations.
  • Account Reconciliation: Develop and maintain key account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, with an emphasis on manufacturing cost and revenue accounts.
  • Process Development: Create and implement tracking, reporting, and revenue recognition processes for new product offerings in the machine manufacturing sector.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in technical accounting, with a strong focus on machine manufacturing or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Proven expertise in handling complex journal entries and financial reporting, including Percentage of Completion, Cost of Sales Accrual, Intercompany Transactions, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing financial controls and ERP systems within a manufacturing context.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT, audit teams, and senior management.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach to financial analysis and reconciliation specific to manufacturing.
