Job Summary and Qualifications

* This is a Full Time Day Shift position, Monday - Friday *

The Clinical Transplant Coordinator will provide personalized nursing care to bone marrow transplant patients and living donors. Key responsibilities include coordinating with the National Marrow Donor Program to assess patient resources and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Determine patient health needs through interpretation of health data
  • Coordinate activities to secure donors for blood cancer patients
  • Provide individualized nursing care within the RN's scope of practice
  • Develop and implement teaching plans for patients
  • Offer education, emotional support, and age-specific care to patients and their families
  • Communicate patient responses and outcomes to therapeutic interventions

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing, Bachelor's Degree required
  • Current RN License in State of Texas or compact license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care hospital within the last 3 years required
  • Background in oncology helpful
  • OCN certification preferred
  • BLS required
