Technology Support Specialist

Position:230 Day

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of three years' experience troubleshooting hardware/software issues. Preferred: Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or related field.
2. Thorough working knowledge of PC's, Macs, and iPads.
3. Working knowledge of Windows 10, iOS, and MacOS .
4. Ability to grasp new concepts.
5. Effective communication skills with various levels of technology users.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
7. Strong management and organizational skills.
8. Strong ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail.
9. CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+). Preferred: CompTIA A+.
10. Experience working in K-12 environments.

Performance Responsibilities:
1. Prompt and regular attendance.
2. To perform skilled managerial work in repair and maintenance of all technology related equipment.
3. Installs, maintains and repairs computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
4. Installs, configures, and maintains workstations, printers, and software applications.
5. Performs hardware and software upgrades as needed.
6. Participates in professional learning to keep abreast of current and emerging technologies.
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

Physical Requirements:
Tasks may involve sustained performance of moderately, physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
Terms of Employment:
Salary shall be paid consistent on the System's approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.
