Worthington City Schools Financial Systems Support Specialist--Worthington Education Center

One full-time Financial Systems Support Specialist to work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday on a 260 day calendar. Responsible for performing tasks involving the daily operation of financial systems, including software support and training, as well as technology security protocols.

Job Duties:
  • Provides user support of all financial systems, software and processes
  • Provides primary support to parents and customers with online payments
  • Provides primary support to administrative secretaries regarding financial services applications and document workflow systems
  • Helps identify, communicate, and execute efficiencies in process and implementation of district financial systems
  • Assists payroll staff integrating software and auditing reports
  • Diagnoses program operations and seeks solutions to problem situations
  • Attends training programs and remains proficient with all software programs
  • Provides internal audit functions as requested by the supervisor
  • Manages invoicing and payments related to facility rentals
  • Posts entries to the accounting system, including receipts
  • Prepares various financial reports
  • Researches and answers outside inquiries
  • Reconciles daily deposits with bank statements
  • Helps coordinate and plan cybersecurity training and tests for staff
  • Contributes to technology projects and implementations as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills & Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial software systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the operation of a computer
  • Experience with productivity software (Microsoft Office and Google App)
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Knowledge or ability to learn workflow processes and software systems
  • Must be able to build and maintain complete spreadsheets
  • Ability to lead projects through project management timelines
  • Ability to analyze and seek solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to establish an effective training environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with others
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions

Salary Range $25.41/hr to $32.39/hr
