Cost Accountant/Analyst

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant/Analyst to support their financial operations. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cost efficiency and ensuring the continued success and growth of the company's manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis, review manufacturing costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control measures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and statements related to manufacturing costs.
  • Budget Management: Assist in creating and monitoring manufacturing budgets, tracking expenses and variances.
  • Inventory Valuation: Participate in inventory valuation and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing insights to management.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements related to cost management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, particularly related to manufacturing costs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting and financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and accounting software.
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
