Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities: The selected candidate will be responsible to assist with: inserting IVs, administering Echocardiogram Enhancing Agents, performing Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms and Coronary CCTAs, assist with general patient care in all areas of the Cardiology Department. Candidate will assist with oversight of staff education, competencies, policy revisions, department supply orders etc. May be asked to assist in other Cardiac Departments as needed. Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required: Bachelor degree in Nursing required 3+ years of experience in Acute Care Nursing, Cardiac/Critical Care experience required. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS and ACLS certification required.
