Position Overview: Atlantic Health System is looking for a per diem Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to provide support during various shifts.


Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips, adjusting for patient changes as necessary.


- Conducts independent verification of telemetry strips, including:

  • Time
  • PR interval measurement
  • QRS measurement
  • QT interval measurement
  • Ectopy and baseline rhythm analysis

- Assigns telemetry monitoring in accordance with physician orders.

- Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient data to the healthcare team.

- Continuously monitors the telemetry system to ensure optimal functionality.

- Demonstrates understanding of emergency escalation protocols and the Code Blue process.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course
  • Ability to pass a telemetry pre-test

Preferred:

  • Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience as a Monitor Technician or relevant clinical experience
