Our first program, which launched in June 2023, is a mentorship platform for those looking for personal or professional guidance in the technology industry, with a focus on those from disadvantaged communities or with additional barriers.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced volunteer Social Media Manager to join our dedicated team and help us elevate our online presence. You will be the voice of our organization, engaging with our diverse communities across multiple platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord. Your ability to create compelling content, foster meaningful interactions, and analyze performance metrics will be instrumental in expanding our reach, driving engagement, and amplifying our impact. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Discord
  • Create and curate engaging content, including text, images, and videos, tailored to each platform's audience.
  • Schedule and publish content consistently, ensuring optimal timing for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with our community, building relationships and encouraging participation.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a social media manager, with a portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord, including their specific features and algorithms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community management skills.
  • Strong creative writing abilities and a knack for crafting engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
