Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Oncology Clinic - Urology Nursing Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Days, 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting License: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a valid multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Chemotherapy experience, proficiency in oncology and urology nursing, strong patient care skills Job Description: - Provide nursing care to a diverse group of patients with varying health concerns, ranging from simple to complex.- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, ensuring a high standard of care.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; update any changes to physician orders.- Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.- Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver competent patient care, interacting effectively with patients and their families.- Share care plans with patients and families during hospital stays and discharge.- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and make appropriate referrals for patient care needs.- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff and perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Competencies: - Proficient in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.- Excellent organizational, planning, coordination, and evaluation skills in nursing services.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.- Responsiveness to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.- Basic computer skills are required.
