THE POSITION

This position gives you the opportunity to utilize your unique skillset to support a variety of human resource functions within State Correction Institution (SCI) Forest and SCI Pine Grove. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Human Resources Assistant 2, you will be functioning as the onsite time advisor for SCI Pine Grove. Responsibilities include reviewing, maintaining, inputting, and adjusting SAP data relating to employee attendance, leave, work schedules, and payroll. Work involves entering data, reviewing documentation, and coordinating processes with supervisors and analysts for employee medical and worker's compensation accommodations. You will also have the opportunity to assist with talent acquisition for both institutions. Additional responsibilities include coordinating modified duty assignments; notifying appropriate staff and employees on return to work status; as well as acting as Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) liaison.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week, upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to SCI Pine Grove.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
