The Quality Assurance Team Lead is responsible for performing and maintaining the following tasks:

  • Leading 1st, 2nd and 4th shift Outbound and Inbound QA teams
  • Monitoring grounds QAs in packing, consolidation, and packer training.
  • Monitoring the Put away bin, researching and resolving issues, and logging/reporting errors to the QA Manager
  • Monitoring Consumables and their processes
  • Monitoring the workflow of the inbound QAs with a focus on ensuring accuracy during check in and put away.
  • Communicating errors to the appropriate managers and driving process changes to improve accuracy in all phases of warehouse operations.
  • Ensuring that outbound QA's Identify missing or incorrectly pulled items while auditing orders.
  • Reporting and correcting all serial number issues before authorizing bill out of a serialized item.
  • Continuous training of current and new employees.
  • Always uphold the standards and ethics of WebstaurantStore.
  • Assist Manager with employee performance reviews.
  • Assist Manager with employee meetings and issues as they arise.
  • Miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 150lbs
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs
  • Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, squat, and stand throughout the shift
  • Must be comfortable operating a computer
  • Must be able to operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to an order picker forklift
  • Have exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Can accurately analyze large amounts of data

  • Must be flexible and willing to adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate solid written and verbal skills

  • The QA team lead is responsible for maintaining and ensuring accuracy of inbound freight and grounds orders. This entails utilizing orders and ensuring any deficiencies are corrected before authorizing shipment and monitoring the QA dock data and reserve bin to measure the accuracy of the receiving department. Moreover, the QA Team Lead is responsible for reporting all errors through the appropriate channels to hold associates to company defined accuracy metrics. The QA Team Lead should have knowledge of product information, receiving procedures, grounds and packing procedures and maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy. He or she will maintain a good safety rating and be always held to the highest company standards.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 1 year minimum experience in leadership role
  • Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Strong Leadership Skills required
  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing

  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
