We are seeking an Automotive Service Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Developing strong customer relationships through the successful management of products and service delivery.
• Maintaining computerized customer profile information.
• Monitoring customer records to check for regular scheduled servicing and future remedial work and calling the customer to arrange appointments.
• Developing cost estimates, logging needed parts, and the time needed for repairs, and scheduling the most appropriate Service Technician.
• Conveying all necessary information regarding costs, parts, work, and Technicians to the customers and management.
• Meeting with customers to discuss their requirements and relaying those requirements to the Service Technicians.
• Contacting customers in the case of additional work to relay the details and extra costs.
• Entering the details of repair jobs on the company's network and preparing repair instructions and lists of needed replacement parts for the Service Technicians.
• Checking warranties and insurance.
• Releasing repaired vehicles to the customers and explaining the work done and costs accrued to the customers to ensure their satisfaction and repeat business.

Service Writer Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience and product knowledge may be advantageous.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong record-keeping skills.
• The ability to understand and relate technical issues to the service team from customers' non-technical descriptions.
• Spanish speaking is a plus

Garcia Tires L.L.C. was founded by Lupe and Gloria Garcia in 1974. The company has expanded from a small one bay shop started in Chimayo New Mexico, to six locations in five different cities or towns in the Northern part of New Mexico (USA). They are referred to as "The Fastest Tire in the North".

Garcia Tires Vision is dedicated to growth internally and externally. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with wonderful automotive service with a "Good ol' Garage" family type of atmosphere. Our mission is dedicated to safety, service, quality and commitment to community. Garcia Tires core values center around honesty, trust, credibility, and social responsibility. Guadalupe Garcia and Wife Gloria are very active in the day-to-day operations of the business.

Garcia Tires L.L.C. "The Fastest Tire in the North" (northern New Mexico that is), sells tires and automotive repair both retail and wholesale. We carry popular tire brands such as Multi-Mile, Goodyear and Kelly. The business was started in 1974 by Guadalupe L. Garcia and wife Gloria. Both were school teachers searching for a way to make a little money on the side. Little did they know that with good decision making and hard work the business would grow to where it is today. Six locations and over forty employees.

Guaddalupe Garcia was a shop teacher teaching middle school students and his degree was in industrial technology and drafting, far from a business degree. His first project started in 1974 in Chimayo New Mexico, a small community 90 miles north of Alburquerque. Using his skills as a craftsman he constructed a one bay shop that would fit two cars and a few tire racks. He then took the money in the couple's savings account and purchased the necessary hand tools and tire inventory worth $1,500. His items for sale were tires, inner tubes, and accessories such as valve stems etc.

Garcia Tires L.L.C. has grown to be one of the largest independent tire dealer in the state of New Mexico. We are commited to growth in many different ways. We are commited to intellectual growth of our employees, we provide on going training so our customers can benefit from the up-to-date tire and automotive knowledge of all of our automotive technicians. We continue to make strides in increasing our customer base with loyal and happy customers. Our intention is to service our customers through a network of tire stores that still feels just like going to that old garage around the corner.
