Role Summary
The Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care during each shift. Collaborating with a management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and champions the organization's mission to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance admission and discharge processes to maintain efficient patient flow and care quality.
- Participate in assessments of care quality in collaboration with management.
- Foster teamwork and service improvement for optimal patient outcomes.
- Champion a patient-first approach and implement service recovery when needed.
- Engage in strategies to boost staff engagement and satisfaction.
- Support hiring, training, and professional development of new staff.
- Manage staff scheduling and labor in line with patient care needs.
- Oversee inventory and manage supplies and equipment efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
No travel is required for this position.
