POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for requirements definition,concept development, product evaluation, implementation, testing and sustainingsupport of select Airport Management System software. Work closely with department subject matterexperts to analyze and document functional processes and identify opportunitiesfor improvements, including efficiency gains through automation using COTSand/or custom software solutions. Provides platform administration, report design and development, testingcriteria and documentation, and user training and sustaining support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelordegree in Information Technology, or related field and five (5) years of recentexperience in the administration of software packages utilized for operationsof a large airport, or an equivalent combination of education, training andexperience. Work experience to include: (1) developing and supporting largecorporate applications (2) programmer writing/supporting business applicationsand/or (3) systems analyst. Solid knowledge of web application architecture,development and underlying technologies; Experience in business reporting,analytics and business information systems; Experience with Oracle or SQLdatabase principles including ability to write and analyze complex queries;Requires experience in the administration of content repositories and recordsmanagement.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills with a focus on teamwork, customer service and customer satisfaction in a sometimes stressful environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, a self-starter and the ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience using one or more leading analysis and development methodologies.
  • Able to work with customers and peers to elicit all requirements needed to implement capabilities
  • Solid understanding of system design and workflow analysis
  • Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate issues and data challenges
  • Able to troubleshoot error messages and performance problems
  • Experience developing KPIs and Workflows to meet customer requirements
  • Experience performing advanced system configurations and build/maintaining custom applications
  • Understanding of database objects, attributes and object relationships
  • Able to write custom queries for both search functions (data review) and Reporting
  • Services including SSRS reports
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting large multi-tier applications and interfaces with various RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, and Access) on Windows environments with a technical understanding of file system structure.
  • Experience in the configuration and support of IIS application servers and components
  • Ability to work on-call/weekends as needed to maintain critical operations
  • Strong knowledge in use, administration and support in one or more of the following;
  • Airport safety & operations reporting systems, Event management systems, Virtual Ramp Control (VRC), Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Resource Management Systems (RMS), Common Use passenger processing systems, FAR139 or 1542 compliance software
  • Understanding of concepts relating to; AODB, Resource Billing, Data Warehouse, Stands, Carousel, Check in, and Scenarios
  • Strong knowledge of systems integrations with data sources for elements such as Flight Information Display, seasonal schedules (with airline and via services), Type B messages, Common Use Platforms, Multilateration (MLAT) systems and Operational Activity systems (via services, ramp control and visual docking systems)
